What is Pool Rummy
Pool Rummy is possibly the most played rummy variant in India from the 4 variants of the 13 card Rummy game. Basically, in Pool Rummy game, the player needs to pay a fixed amount of entry fee and this amount makes up the prize pool.
How to play Pool Rummy
In Pool Rummy, each player plays with 13 cards. It is a multiplayer game in which 2 to 6 players can play at a table. The goal of Pool Rummy is to group all 13 cards in either sequence and sets. You can form the group of selected cards by tapping the group button or just clubbing together by dragging and dropping a card. If a joker is not used in sequence, then it is known as a pure sequence and if a joker is used to form a sequence, then it is known as an impure sequence. You can pick a card by tapping an open or closed deck.
To discard a card, you can either drag the unwanted card to the table or select the card and tap on the discard button. In pool Rummy, if a player reaches maximum points i.e. 101 or 201 then the player is eliminated. So, while playing Pool Rummy try to keep your points less. If a player succeeds to form a sequence or set with less points, he/she wins the game.
Pool Rummy Rules
- If a player collects 101 points, then the player is eliminated from the game. And the remaining player is the winner.
- For 201 points, it is as similar as 101 points variant, the player gets eliminated as soon as they collect 201 points.
- One pure sequence is necessary for winning the game.
- The winner always has a score of ‘0’
